Back-to-School Checklist

Guys! Is it just me, or did back-to-school come both very slowly AND very quickly at the same time? I saw a meme online the other day that said, “this has been the longest Spring Break ever”, and started laughing, because it’s so true!

There are a lot of emotions around back-to-school – feeling scared, excited and everything in between – and also a lot of changes. With new schedules, new supplies, new teachers, new wake up calls (ugh!), and new classmates, this time of year always comes with a lot of “news”, but with things looking even more different for 2020, there are going to be even more firsts which require even more preparation.

As you’re making your lists to prepare (or just throwing things in the cart at Target and hoping it works out), be sure to add visits to come see me regularly and often to your to-dos!

Remember…chiropractic care not only helps sick people get well, it helps healthy people stay healthy, and that goes for people of ALL ages, including kiddos! In fact, recent studies have sited that children raised under chiropractic care have been shown to be less prone to infections such as ear infections and tonsillitis. They also have stronger immune systems and are also better able to cope with allergies such as pollen, weeds, or grasses as compared to children not raised under chiropractic care. A significant decrease in antibiotic therapy use has also been noted among kids who receive regular chiropractic care.

One specific case study focused on a 7-year-old boy who had suffered most of his life with chronic allergies, colds and asthma. Numerous medications taken regularly for years did not help him. Following chiropractic care to reduce his vertebral subluxations, his immune system strengthened, and his health issues resolved.

Long science story short, this is because subluxations of vertebrae can create nerve disfunction, which modifies the immune response and lessens the overall capability of the immune system. Our bodies are all connected in an amazing way and are working hard to be healthy and stay healthy. It’s my job to help make sure your body and your children’s bodies have the help they need to do just that!

There are a lot of firsts right now. And while it’s hard to prepare for everything, one thing you can cross off your list is making an appointment with WHC to help your kids do their best.

And because we know kids aren’t the only ones packing their bags for the classrooms, Whole Health Chiropractic is proud to offer “family rates” for teachers, too!

Looking forward to seeing you all soon…let’s make it a great year!
