Summer Travel Tips & Recommendations:
Prevent heat related illnesses - When outside during hotter weather wear light clothing and stay out of direct sunlight to avoid heat exhaustion, heat stroke, and other heat-related illnesses.
Hydrate – With the warmer months come additional exposure to the sun and heat, both of which can sap energy and compromise health. Remember to stay hydrated all summer long by carrying a water bottle with you wherever you go.
Sunscreen - We recommend a mineral based sunscreen, a safer and more effective way to protect the skin which provides broad spectrum protection. Check out the All Good brand available in our office.
Summer Travels – Items like lumbar supports or special cushions can be used when sitting in a car, plane on longer trips. These items can help provide added support to your back and neck while traveling and can help prevent discomfort.
Take frequent breaks - Take breaks when traveling for any period of time. Stop every hour or two for a few minutes to stretch your legs and to provide your back with a break. This will help decrease any built-up tension in your back and can help reduce the risk of higher levels of discomfort while traveling.
